HK trip 29 Aug to 2 Sep 08

(pic not in order, est HKD5 = S$1)
29 aug fri mrng we reach hk!
took the airport express bus to mongkok and walk to stanford hotel ..
had our lunch at ladies street

cha chang teng we went... milk & milk ..
baked rice, macaroni and steamed milk, 2 drinks.. HKD69

its the end of summer sale so where ever we walk to there is sales...
the first shop which catch out attention at mongkok is G2 black label ... their price was like 50% of sg price ...so of coz both of us manage to grab afew ..

reach central mtr ard 4plus ... went to find the H&M which everyone rave ...
but nth catch my eyes .. no sales too ...

follow the direction and walk to peak tram station ..
up up up we goooo ~

wax museum at the peak .. combo tic price at HKD 170 (include tram)

my fave mudull at the peak!!!! so excited! purposely went ard evening so we can catch the day and night view .

Sat - Day 2
the place i wanted to go !!!!
disneyland !!!
overall although the rides are not really fantastic compare to movieworld in aust ..
for someone who nv been to disneyland i think its still not bad .....
took the disneyland resort line .. and rch jus in time at 10am!!!

the first mascot we saw is mickey and minnie wearing summer clothes .. didint manage to tk .. coz of the long queue ... so we went straight to fantasyland ... haha and saw sleeping beauty(abv in pink) and snow white..(she look kinda fat to act as snow white)

after watching the parade,
we had our lunch at corner cafe ... (below 1st 3 pic) cost HKD 200 for 2..
look at the first pic .... the bread look damn fake loh!!!! but its real~!

we continue and complete alomst all the ride.. (except kiddy one like merry go round n teacup cz we r too lazy to queue). luckily we went back to fantasyland n saw there actually mickey minnie pooh etc there ... and the queue was shorter ...
dinner at plaza inn at nite .... didnt kne its a high class chinese restuarant..
so we order the cheapest .. fried rice and beef hor fun which cost HKD115 each..
luckily the serving was still quite big ... at least nt so waste $$$
the fireworks start at 9pm....the fireworks and music coordination was really nice~!

aft that we continue to shop for gift at the stores ...

wat chris and me bought ..
total damage for me... SGD 120 ... total damage for chris ... SGD 130
we jus feel like kids when we go disneyland .. everything look so nice ... and we wanna buy so much thingS... but of coz ... its not cheap oso ... almst everything strt frm HKD55..
so although we spd 100+ majority of the thing is actually as gifts for family n frens .. so guys... so sorry cn only get small small things for u all ..

things i got for myself there :
snoring stitch (chris bought for me, cz i bu she de buy)
2 box of cookies
and 1 minnie keychain ..

day 3
we went to ngong nping 360 to take the cable car ...
(sorry i miss tt part of the photo during uploading .... too lazy to load again..keke)

have to say this is the best cable car ride .... 20mins journey.. across the sea and up the mountains!!!

the other end of the ride is the big buddha... we need to climb up 200+ steps to rch the top!!!
think i will upload the pic on frenster or wat ba ..

went citygate to do some factory outlets shopping ....
fyi the hiao hiao me only brought heels to hk ... so my legs was soooo sooo suan ... and i dont wanna buy cheap shoes i dont like .. so i end up buying a slippers at pedder warehouse.. which cost hkd255.. =X heh heh ..
sgd pedder shoes are more ex oK~!!!!

at nite we went to TST.... ave of star

visited GOD at slivercord shopping mall ..

wanted to buy this pi gu mooncake but need to preorder and u cn only get after 5 sep ..

TST is a place for branded goods !!!

the largest LV store in asia ..
it's 3 storeys high!!!

its abt 8+pm...and we rem today is the last day of summer sale so we went back to mongkok unload our thing and chiong to G2 (on top of sales price they hv further disc) and langham place for my porter bag(they hving 20% off)

not cheap oso ... HKD20 ..
so shawna ... im no better than ur sisters .. lolX

Day 4 we went to granville street and fa yuen street...
met jamie n bf for lunch and shopping

we went to yee shun milk company... the steamed milk was really nice there ... wayyy better than the prev i ate..

Last day some las min shopping so not much photos ..

we ate dim sum for 2 days breakfast ... est cost per person is hkd55..cheap compared to SG..
the rest of the breakfast we ate... YOSHINOYA... coz it damn cheap ... HKD17...
fyi cha chang teng is more ex than yoshi ... we gt no choice ..

we went back to fa yuen street and argyle center for las min shopping ..

i didnt get it for u coz i think u will get a shock ba so i jus took the pic ... dont kne whether u saw this in hk ma ..

not forgetting

things i bought.....
miniature levis jeans ... for putting magazine .. cost HKD15 in the mrng .. wanted to get another one the nxt moment i saw.. its HKD 120!

g2 shirts, 2 bags, 2 tiara, rose rubber band, shorts, cardigian, toothpaste(tissue holder), tee, fake anna sui comb n mirror.. and some other small things ..

total damages exclude hotel and airfare .. : $900+

seriously i still prefer tw ... altht clothing r almst same price as TW ..

HK food and transport are ex!!

8 Days ChengDu, JiuZaiGou, Dead Sea of China

finally....
manage to upload the pic of my trip.... anyw this gonna be a very long post with lotsa pic!
As you can see from the title of this entry... those are the places i visited..

Day 1

Reach Chengdu int'l airport b4 noon....
you all only kne what is Si chuan cai right?
anyw the places im gonna visit are all in si chuan..
thye are very famous for their spicy food ...
this is our first meal there ...
ma la steamboat!!!

=D i only eat a tou fu from tt mala side..
hrd from them its so spicy and maaaaa.... numb ur tongue!
aft lunch we visited an old street.....

rched the hotel at nite ..
and woah ...the bathrm is soooo modern!
guess it good for couples lolx..

see~ only frosted glass.

Day 2
Yep Yep.. the main focus of the trip... Jiu Zai Gou..
ppl who went there few yrs back need to tk bus for 6hrs...
good thing now they build an airport there..
Jiu Zai Gou is actually a highland area.. with very 'fairy' scenery
however gg there is not ez ... usually u hrd thse auntie who tell u its very tough... it's true..
thin oxygen due to the altitude..
tour guide will warn u... not to run and shout..
u will vomit, hv headache etc etc..to FAINT..
coz our body are nt use to highland..
aka altitude sickness
in chinese it's called gao yuan fa yin

chengdu domestic airport.. our usual lowland altitude 500

from far i saw some snow capped mountains....i told the others.. bt they say it was clouds..

when the plane get nearer and nearer ...
my guess is correct!
see the land is so high..we can see the mountains so clearly!!!

and we reached the ground!!

it was only 5 deg~!!! OMG.. we was told its only 7 or 8 deg only..
and.. it was really snow!!!!
my first close encounter with snow!
everyone was so happy!!!

we rushed out of the airport to tk a few snaps!

the tour guide see us ... ma chaim nv see snow b4... so he told the driver to stop over for phototaking~! he said tt in highland esp this period when winter-spring.. weather r hard to predict.. a rain might caused the temp to drop to zero at nite and therefore we saw snow in the day!

however some aunties oso experience headache...asthma..due to the altitude..
heng our itinerary wasnt so tight... and off we went to hotel..

mum keep telling me about our hotel we are staying ... named jiu zhai paradise...aka jiu zhai tian tang.. direct translate? HEAVEN..
wasnt really convince till i rch the entrance of the hotel..
no wonder it was so wow la ...
the eng name is inter-continential...
this is the 1st time i went china staying at a 5 star hotel loh~

all i can say is WOW ...
UFO building in the middle of mountains....
power sia!!! anyw under tis glass are the spa, swimming pool, restuarant and part of the hotel..

and it's dinner time!

the best meal we had..
of cz there alot more i didnt take ...
cz i only aim desserts/pastries!

mountainous area = no activies at nite
heng our hotel is good enuff they hv a spa!
for sgd less than 20..

Day 3
official tour of jiu zhai gou starts!
it was so cold ... and im wearing 4 layers!
went to buy gloves too...

Day 4
one of the very very nice place was cancelled due to snow the previous nite ... damn!
so we went other place instead... althought the plc i went yst and today is 2000ft..
seriously ... it felt so xin ku... when u climb a flight of stairs.. it like u jus back from running..

on our way ... they brought us to some plc tt sell jade ..
