another interesting machine.. not machine actually.. its a blood type and horoscope fortune-telling slip of paper... just take the paper and drop 100yen on the top right hand corner.

On our way to togetsukyo bridge, we passby the shopping street around JR arashiyama
u'll always see hello kitty around~

they have a number of shops selling kimono fabric stuff..
very pretty! but its quite ex...

this is another shop which i wanna recommend:
The Chiri-men craft museum of Arashiyama
Chiri-Men aka the kimono fabric..
like i said its very expensive due to its handicraft
its not really a museum...its actually a shop.. selling lots of handicraft made using chiri-men
the seven deities of good fortune

super kawaii sushi!!! but its much more expensive than the real sushi~

veggies too... very delicate craft issit it?

dolls that they will buy for Hinamatsuri (Doll Festival) on March 3
it is to pray for girls' growth and happiness

little information on the dolls:
Most families with girls display "hina-ningyo" (special dolls for Hinamatsuri) and dedicate peach blossoms to them. They are usually arranged on a five or seven-tiered stand covered with a red carpet. At the top are the Emperor and Empress. The next step contains three court ladies (sannin-kanjo), followed by five musicians (gonin-bayashi), two ministers (udaijin and sadaijin), and three servants ending the bottom row in a five-tiered display. There are also small pieces of furniture, small meal dishes, and other things.

continue our way down.....

Togetsukyo Bridge
roadside food stalls nearby~

our first takoyaki of this trip
bbq squid... its not very cheap but its huge!

pretty plum blossoms!

during the spring season, there's lots of sakura stuff... like edible sakura~

the shrine is dedicated to Inari, the shinto god of rice and fox are Inari's messengers

At 7pm, we reached Ninja Kyoto Restuarant
after the waitress confirmed our number of pax... she ushered us to a dark pathway..like we are escaping somewhere(i heard the tokyo's pathway before you reached your table is even more exciting) and there another ninja DASH out... scare us~ I have to comment that the waiter/waitress inside are very very good, they really act like ninja...... dashing here and there..
